For the last two decades, I have provided guidance on message development to Fortune 500 companies, CEOs, political parties, elected officials, candidates, government agencies, PR firms, law firms and non-profit organizations, which includes designing, developing and implementing strategies and communications plans, and identifying the outlets that will provide the best opportunities to communicate the clients’ message.

As a native Spanish speaker and writer, I have written news stories and articles for multiple Spanish-language outlets, and have translated thousands of materials for public distribution, such as press releases, media advisories, brochures, speeches, talking points, newsletters reports and content for websites, booklets and binders. I also have vast experience working with translations of legal, medical and public policy documents and I am a Member of the American Translators Association (ATA.)

Media Relations:

When it is time to sell a story, you should leave no stone unturned. As a former reporter, I know exactly what that means. The moment I take an assignment I turn into a facilitator. My main task then becomes identifying how to effectively broker a relationship between the client and the media, pitching the story to the right outlets and thinking outside the box to find the best angles and/or the key components to make it a better fit for each outlet. And given my vast network of media contacts, I have been successful at placing stories in outlets at the national and local level, including Univision (network and affiliates), Telemundo (network and affiliates), CNN en Español, EFE Spanish Newswire, Poder Magazine, Hispanic, Hispanic Business, Latino Leaders, ¡Hola! and Vanidades, among many others. In addition, I have vast experience managing media relations for high-profile events, such as the Democratic National Convention, Election Day/Night and multi-state campaign bus tours.
